We often justify our behavior by claiming, “my choices concern no one but myself.” However, that’s not how life works. No one makes choices in a vacuum. Our wrong attitudes and actions do affect others. We may never realize the extent of the effects our choices have on the people around us and even on future generations! God wants us to avoid the multiplying effects of poor choices. He wants us to live by a godly standard, so that the good choices we make, and not the poor, will ripple through time for years to come.
